Lisandro was born in San Salvador, El Salvador in 1980. He has been fortunate enough to bring two of his passions together, wildlife and art. He has been drawing ever since he can remember but decided to take the step to become a full time artist in 2006. Lisandro works predominantly in the medium of graphite and as a self-taught artist, he has developed a style that separates his work from any other artwork out there. His style is greatly influenced by black and white photography, especially work by Ansel Adams. His goal is to show what can be created with the humble pencil. His animal pencil drawings are expressive and highly detailed. Currently he is living and working in Toronto, creating large scale drawings, as he continues to push the limits of what can be done with just a pencil.
