Recently i started a new project and hopefully it will be a successful one. It all started with the human eye tutorial. After completing that tutorial i realized how beautiful eyes can be and how little we appreciate them. They are,in my opinion, one of the most valuable things that we possess. It allows us to see the world and what it has to offer. It gives us the opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest by experiencing all shapes, colors, textures and everything else that we see. Eyes not only serve us to see the world but are also incredibly beautiful.

Take a look at your eyes up close and you will realize that they so delicate and yet so full incredible textures and designs. Not one eye is the same, they may be the same color and shape but the designs that they each have is totally unique. This is not only true for people but for animal as well. I want to combine my appreciation for the beauty that eyes have with my passion for drawing.

This project will consist of creating, hopefully, the largest collection of eye drawings on the web. I have made a couple of drawings so far and there are many more to make. The project will involve all kinds of eyes, from people to animals. It will be a long term project, since im only one person and there are hundreds of animals and emotions that people express. I want to also involve the community and others by asking them to submit original content for any particular eye.

Im no expert on all animals, so it would be helpful to get some original information from people that are knowledgeable on that particular animal. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a description on the animal, it could also be a personal experience that you’ve had with them. It could also be any writing that was inspired by the eye/animal, thoughts, poems, etc. Your name/website or whatever you want will be credited with each article submitted. Well, you can check out the drawings that i have so far by going to http://www.eyesait.com(pronounced ‘eyesight’)

Let me know what you think and hopefully you can become part of this project. I would also like to take this time to thank everyone who has supported me. If you have any questions please contact me.

This is not a post related to drawing, but i thought id share the experience with you. Today has been one of the craziest days of my life. It started at about 3:20 am, i was woken up by a loud thunder, but it wasn’t just the sound that woke me up, my whole room shook. To make sure i looked out the window to see if it was raining. To my surprise not a cloud in the sky and not a drop of water. So i got up and went to my living room and looked out the window to see what was going on. I didn’t see anything strange so i was off to bed again, but on my way there i heard another loud thunder. I ran to my kitchen and and looked out the window, looked up and saw that the sky was all lit up. I put on some shoes, got my camera and ran to the corner of my street. On my way there i couldn’t want sounded to me like bombs going off. When i got to the corner i looked up to the sky and so a huge fire. I started to make my way to another main street to get a better look, when all of a sudden, boom a huge explosion, which lit up the sky and looked like it was day time. Something that i will never forget is the heat, the immediate intense hit that hit me was incredible. It felt like when you are cooking with your oven and you open it to check on the food and that wave of hot air that hits your face, it was exactly like that. The chaos that was started after that explosion was unbelievable, everyone was running like mad people and the screams could be heard all over the neighborhood. As soon as i heard the big bang and saw the big fireball, i clicked on record and started to back away from the fireball. My fear was that the gas station that was just around the corner would be hit by hot debris and would cause another catastrophic explosion. In all this madness no one knew what was going on. Everyone had their own version of what happened, some said that it was a plane crash, other said it was a gas station that had exploded and others were screaming that it was a terrorist attack. I ran back home to warn the rest of my family what was going on, we got in our car and got as far away as possible. Later on we had to be evacuated from our home because of the danger that there could be more explosions. Well here is a short video of what it looked like up close and the moment of terror that i lived for a night. Below the video is a description of what the explosion was.

Thousands of people have been forced to flee their homes following an explosion at a propane gas plant in the north of the Canadian city of Toronto

A two-mile (3.2km) exclusion zone was set up as police ordered residents in the Keele and Wilson areas to leave.

The series of explosions at 0350 local time (0850 BST) on Sunday also shut down one the city’s busiest highways.

A veteran firefighter died of a heart attack at the scene. There were no reports of serious injury.

Witnesses described the sky lighting up in the glow of an enormous fireball before turning black with smoke, and some residents said the blast caused their houses to rock.

“It was just a tremendous explosion and blew all the windows out of the house. I just managed to get out of there in time,” local resident Robert Helman told the Associated Press news agency.
