Well here is the second speed drawing that i have done so far. This one took me a bit longer to finish but it was worth it. It measures 2.5″x3.5″ and even though its small in size, its full of detail. I love drawing lions because of the simple reason that they are so beautiful and powerful.Tools Used:
2h Pencil
6h Pencil
2b Mechanical Pencil
6b Progresso Pencil
Stylus
Kneaded Eraser
Color Shaper
EraserIf you have any questions please contact me.

Were you working on a grid from a grid picture?

I compose the image that i want to draw from different photos and using photoshop i put the images together. The grid is a method that i use to get the image on the paper correctly. Its a great tool and it helps with understanding proportions.

Two words sum up the video I've viewed and those words are ' Absolutely Brilliant ' makes the one I did a few days ago look like and accident with a pencil, serveral at the from 6h to 6b also HB mech pencil and Torillion.

I've just started drawing seriously and use the grid system although seeing the video of the lion being drawn I've a long, long way to go before my lion drawing I attempted two weeks ago will look less like an accident in a pencil factory. I'm off to purchase a new putty rubber and some blue tack.
.The old masters used the grid and it was a 'trade secret' they didn't want people to know. So what's good for them is good for all of us.
