This is the drawing that im working on at the moment. This one measures 5×7. I love drawing cats, they look so amazing in pencil. The texture from their fur and the beautiful designs in their eyes makes them so unique. I haven’t been able to work on it as much since ive been writing tutorials, but hopefully it will be done within the next couple of days. I’ll be writing tutorials just on cats, from how to draw the fur to how to get those shiny beautiful eyes that cats are so known for. Like with all my other drawings, i like to work in layers. I usually start off with a base and start adding detail over that. Like I’ve mentioned before, when you understand what you are drawing you, the drawing comes to life. Study photographs, they are helpful in creating beautiful drawings. Just with this cat I’ve used dozens of reference photos, they have helped in adding realism. I’ll do as much as possible to help you, so if you have any questions please comment or contact me.

I love that cat! I own one and I always try to draw it but she always moves! lol anyways! I could never draw a picture like that no matter how many drawing lessons I take. I was just drawing a cat and I based my cats face off of your drawing. it looks soooo real so far! better then a real picture could take! keep up the good work!

Excellent!! I happened on this website by chance & am very impressed. Anybody out there who thinks “I cant draw like that!” just keep practicing over & over & over and eventually everything will fall in place & you'll see people comenting on your art just like we comment on this website.

    Keep up the excellent work.

thank you so much and you are absolutely right, anybody can draw like this and its all about practicing and understanding what you are drawing. Its not going to be an overnight thing, but as you practice more and more you will see results, that i can guarantee. Drawing has been my passion for many years. I understood that in order to improve i had to dedicate time to draw and study reference images to understand what i was going to draw. Well i hope you drop by again. take care.
