German Shepherd

Well this is another commission drawing that i did for someone. My main focus on this drawing was the fur. I wanted to capture that rough look that german shepherds have. It was a great project, worked with different textures and techniques. This german shepherd by far is one of my most detailed drawings. I put alot of time into this because i understand how hard it is to lose a pet and i wanted to be as perfect as possible. Kane was a beautiful dog as you can tell from the image and it was my pleasure to draw it for the owner. It was a great loss for him but im sure this drawing has brough comfort to his family and himself.

This drawing was a commission for a brown Labrador owner. This beautiful dog was a great project and now Luther is part of my gallery. The textures and lighting gives this drawing so much life. Well i hope you enjoy this one. Since there was a Brown Labrador, it was hard for my scanner to capture the fine details, so some of the hair is not visible on this image.

This is a commission that i did for an amazing artist named Dee Dee Murry. This is her adorable dachshund and is loved by lots of people. I thank her for giving me the opportunity to work on such a great project. Hallie is kind of a celebrity among dachshunds, so this commission was a great project to work on.

Long-Haired Dachshund

I have done a short haired dachshund and this is the long haired. They are both adorable dogs and so full of life. The angle and depth makes this an interesting drawing as if the dog is actually watching you from below. Well i hope you enjoy this one.

Copper

Loosing a pet is one of the most heart breaking experiences that anyone can go through. I was asked to do a commission of this beautiful dog, Copper. After loosing my dogs and making a drawing of one them this project became a special one. Hopefully this will bring comfort to the family and will allow Copper live for many more years.

Dachshund

This tiny little guy is one of the most lovable dogs from all the breeds. His big expressive eyes are so beautiful. As you can see, the main focus on this drawing are his eyes. The blurred sections gives depth to the drawing making it an interesting final piece. This one by far is one of my most popular drawing, even though its one of the simplest. It doesn’t have the amount of detail that my other drawings have. This proves once again how important eyes are. The reason people find this drawing charming is because of the eyes. They are so expressive and give the dog so much life even though the dog itself is not doing anything dramatic. Well i hope you enjoy looking at it,as much as i enjoyed drawing it.

Springer Spaniel

One of the most loyal and most beautiful dogs. The springer spaniel was a great subject to work with. The texture and the long hair made it an interesting drawing. I loved the expression that this springer spaniel had on it, so it became part of my dog series. Well i hope you enjoy it as much as i did drawing it.

Boxer

This beautiful boxer is part of my dog series. I wanted to captured that known face that makes the boxer so famous and beautiful. The lighting and the pose makes this drawing an interesting one. This dogs are so powerful and yet so affectionate. They make great family pets and it was so great to work on this drawing. I learned so much from this drawing, especially on how to work with textures and lighting. Drawing is a never ending learning experience and i believe that the moment you say to yourself that you have learned everything is the day that you loose yourself. Well i hope you enjoy this one and keep coming back for future drawings.

Great Dane

The great dane is one of the biggest dogs. Its size and beauty is what caught my attention. I loved the pose and the contrast between black and white. This dogs are just amazing. I remember the first time i saw one for the first time. I was visiting a friend and he lived in a building. I was waiting for the elevator and when the door opened i saw this massive animal, it was white with black spots. I remembered that its back reached the ladies waist. I couldn’t believe its size and from tha day i refer to them as cow dogs. The have this goofy look because of their droopy skin and thats part of its personality which is what i wanted to show with this pencil drawing.

This was a special project for me. It was good therapy after his loss. Even though we have lost him, he will always be with our family. I took my time on this one and im really happy with the result. Loosing a pet is always hard because they become part of the family and doing something like this helps the whole family overcome the loss.
