Even though i dont draw many portraits of people,i always enjoy them. This drawing measures 11″x14″ and was done on bristol smooth paper. I made this drawing as a mirror image of Leyla. Its as if she is looking in a mirror. Leyla is a beautiful woman and putting those subtle details that give her that glow was the challenging part.

This one was a different from the other drawings that i have done. There were all kinds of textures and lighting effects that made it an interesting drawing to work on. It was an unexpected commission because the deadline time was real short, so it got really stressful. But i have to say that its one of my most realistic portraits that i have done. The family was real happy with the drawing and i was told that the person that received it said it was the best gift they had ever received, which made me happy to hear.
