Blue Eyes White Fang

I decided to work on this white wolf because i wanted to practice drawing white hair. Drawing white hair is similar to drawing darker hair, but you must have a better understanding of hair flow. The actual white hairs will be represented by the indentations and the subtle dark areas will be the shadows that are cast by the clumps of hair. If you don’t know what im talking about, i recommend that you read the tutorials that i have written to get a better understanding of the techniques that i use to draw. The wolf has always been a favourite animal of mine and this project was fun because of that reason. So mysterious and beautiful,they are one of a kind. I wanted to capture not only their physical beauty but also their spirit that makes them so unique. This drawing took me a while to complete and it was mostly because of the hair. The technique that i use works very well but is tedious, so you must have lots of patience but in the end its really worth it.

drawing of wolf pack. This was one of my first attempts at drawing animals. As you can see its not the greatest but i look back and see how this drawing helped me understand many things. I still have this drawing and its always great to look at it once in a while to get inspired.
